More Mexico and US dates…

As Touring The Angel is winding it’s way through Europe, the band have started confirming dates for the third leg of the tour, scheduled to take them through North American and Mexico in April and May.

More details for Depeche Mode’s upcoming Summer Tour in support of their current album, Playing The Angel, have been announced. This leg of the tour will see them return to Mexico for two dates as well as more dates in the US. Depeche Mode last played Mexico in 1994, so this is really exciting news for all the Devotees there in Mexico. The much rumored NY and Chicago shows have now been confirmed as well as other stops in the US. These dates are added to the already announced US, Canadian, and their headlining slot at the Coachella Festival in April.

Milan DVD directed by Blue Leach

Depeche Mode had their recent two-night stop in Milan, Italy filmed for an upcoming live DVD tentatively set for release in September 2006. The shoot was helmed by Blue Leach, and not as rumoured Anton Corbijn.

Depeche Mode’s two shows the weekend of February 18 at Milan’s Filaforum were recorded for a live DVD that is expected to be released in September.

Suffer Well Reviewed

As Depeche Mode continues to tour the world in support of their new album, “Playing The Angel”, the third single from the album “Suffer Well” will see it’s release in March. The single will feature a lot of formats again, CD, DVD, as well as 12″ and 7″ vinyl. The CDs and DVD will be out on March 6th while the vinyl formats will be released on March 20th.

Some 3rd leg details…

Details are beginning to pop up on the forthcoming 3rd leg of Touring The Angel, which sees the band return to North American in late April.

Details about the upcoming Summer tour in the US are finally beginning to come through. In additition to the three, already announced shows DM.tv reports that the band will add gigs in New York and Chicago to their US visit this spring. No word yet on which venue they’ll visit in the Windy City but you can look for the band to return to Jones Beach when they return to New York. The band are also expected to make a return to Mexico, for the first time in 12 years.
