Booka Shade Update

Home can now confirm that Booka Shade have in fact remixed the single from the forthcoming Depeche Mode “Best Of” and that the single may be out in November or December.

DJ Shadow: Def Beat Vol. 8

DJ Shadow’s brilliant remix for Depeche Mode’s “Painkiller” is out on a brand new collection of DJ Shadow’s remixes and collaborations called Def Beat Remixes Volume 8

Aside from his remix for “Painkiller”, this collection also has tracks from himself, Radiohead, Dan The Automator, Portishead, Handsome Boy Modeling School, and many others. Shadow shows his diverse taste on this one with tracks from people like DM and Radiohead to underground hip-hop acts as well. If you’re a DJ Shadow fan or a Depeche Mode collector, this collection will not disappoint. Look for it on Def Beat Records.

JTR/Tiefschwarz: Fabric 29

Tiefschwarz’s remix of the current DM single, “John The Revelator”, is included on the new installment of the highly acclaimed Fabric mix series. This time Tiefschwarz are in the mix, so read on for more details.

The next installment in the Fabric Mix series comes from brothers Ali and Basti Schwarz aka Tiefschwarz! Fabric 29 is a collection of 14 tracks blended into a solid 70 minute mix. Tiefschwarz’s fantastic remix of Depeche Mode’s “John The Revelator” is a high point of the mix for sure! This new mix is out now in Europe and around the rest of the world on August 8th. The mix is described as “too charged-up to be minimal, too clued-up to be commercial”. The floor pounding rhythms reach from minimal tech house to a fun electro groove.

Lisbon Concert Cancelled

The Depeche Mode show scheduled for Lisbon on 28/07 has been cancelled.

The Depeche Mode concert scheduled for Lisbon’s Alvalade Stadium on July 28 is cancelled, due to the serious financial difficulties of the promoter Jose Araujo’s company Brand New Day.

Exclusive Interview: Lacuna Coil

Here is Home’s exclusive interview with Lacuna Coil! Home caught up with lead singer Cristina Scabbia to get her thoughts on their cover of “Enjoy The Silence”, Depeche Mode, and more.

Was “Enjoy The Silence” a song you were already performing or was it a
song you picked specifically for the album?

John The Revelator CR=X Mix

There is a new white label bootleg 12″ of John The Revelator that has just come out. The remix was made by someone going by the name of CR=X.

This new white label is, like most white labels, an un-official bootleg 12″ single. The remixes were made by CR=X and the mixes have an electro house groove to them. There is a solid vocal mix as well as dub mix. We have no idea who CR=X is, but this is not anything put out by Depeche Mode or their record labels.
