Via dlisted: Hilary Duff has a new video out for her song “Reach Out,” which completely samples rips off Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus.” No. No. No. This is illegal, right? A ho like Hilary Duff can’t just take a Depeche Mode song, rip it to shreds, violate it and spit all over it! Something must be done! I want to reach out and slap her.


 

First gig in Spain announced (UPDATED)


Depeche Mode ads BBK Live Festival in Bilbao on Thursday July 9th to the schedule. Additional Spanish dates are expected to be announced shortly. We’ll update this story as more details come in. Tickets for the BBK Festival go on sale November 12th.

Depeche add another show in Düsseldorf


Depeche Mode have added a second show in Düsseldorf on June 5th, 2009. Ticket sales have been going strong with more than 200.000 tickets sold for the German tickets alone. Tickets for the added show, as well as the previously announced six German shows can be bought at Eventim.de.


 

Single drops in February says Uncut


In a story about the quick sell out of the London O2 arena show, Uncut magazine brings a quote stating that the first single from the upcoming Mode album will hit radios in February. Make the jump for the full thing!


 

New album set for April 20th says EMI


In a very wordy press release put out today, EMI officially restates what the band officially revealed at the press conference yesterday: Mode is back in the fold at Mute/EMI. The press release (copied in full after the jump) is fleshed out with comments from EMI staffers, Mode-man Andy Fletcher, as well as everybody’s fave label boss: Daniel Miller!


 

Mode re-signs with Mute/EMI for the world


From Billboard.com: Updating a story first posted yesterday (Oct. 6). Depeche Mode has renewed its long-term deal with Mute/EMI and is planning to release its 12th studio album April 20, 2009. Past Depeche Mode albums were licensed by Mute to Warner Bros. in the United States but will be under EMI’s control moving forward.


 

Tour Of The Universe dates (updated with photos)


The band announced the dates for the first European leg of their upcoming Tour Of The Universe. The band were in Berlin, and in high spirits, to make the announcement. The tour will start on May 10 in Israel, and will bring the band to North America and South America later in the year. Dates and pictures after the jump:


 

Tour named “Tour Of The Universe”; He-Man rejoices!


The band’s upcoming tour has been dubbed “Tour Of The Universe 2009″ according to German ticket outlet Eventim.de. This of course kicks off speculation that the album title will follow a similar naming scheme (like “Master Of The Universe”… GO HE-MAN!)! Anyhoot… date recap:
