Depeche Mode bring Peace to the shops
Depeche Mode latest single, “Peace”, has hit music outlets all over this precious little globe of ours. There’s a whole bunch of formats, with a myriad of remixes – including my personal favourite: “Peace – SixToes Remix” (yummy!!). Anyway, go buy it in your local record pusher or iTunes.

Where is “Peace” in the U.S. iTunes Store? I don’t see that we got it today. Are we getting it at a later date?

This single is the worst thing that they have ever released. The mixes are pathetic.
I am a fan, but this was a sad choose for a single.

I only got two really bad remixes of Peace on the iPass – Home you were so right on your review! It looks like the only way US fans have to get these tracks is to order an import.
Wouldn’t it have been neat to have had Universal releases for The Sounds Of The Universe?

Perfect goes for US radio adds on July 20 so apparently that will be the second single there.

I was looking on the Official DM Forum and the Administrator, BRAT, says that No “Peace” for the US but that the band is planning to release “Perfect” later on as a US only digital release.
While I should be happy because I LOVE “Perfect” and just like like “Peace” and I live in the US, both cases it seems wrong to me – If I was living in Europe I would as pissed as I am now with no “Peace” in my time. Is that any way to treat a Universe of fans?

Yeah, what’s up with no US Release? I am officially dissapointed now in the Itunes Pass as we only got 2 remixes and 2 live tracks! Why couldn’t we have had the single?

I have a feeling that the band will be releasing a few other singles and this is their way of cramming them in. We so far have 1. Wrong 2. Peace (UK) 3. Perfect (U.S.) and then I expect maybe two other singles…. perhaps 4. Hole To Feed 5. Come Back
whats cool is that Peace and Perfect are considered singles and will be included on an future releases involing The Singles and Greatest hits, so I am happy with their picks. Oh and by the way: the Single version of Peace is awesome and is perfect for radio play, I love it! I also like the Peace remixes for what they are. We have plenty of remixes of Peace than we can handle anyways from the Fans remix contest.

I have been a US DM fan for many years and I believe the best single from The Sounds Of The Universe is Corrupt, I hope they plan to release it in the US because it is already popular with online radio stations.
