DM on new Blank & Jones CD *UPDATED*

Depeche Mode’s 1987 classic single “Strangelove” has been included on a new 3 disc compilation called “So ’80s”. It was compiled and mixed by German DJ duo Blank & Jones and features non-stop mixes of great ’80s tracks from legendary bands. Read on for more details!
Besides DM, So 80’s includes tracks from bands like Yazoo, O.M.D., Ultravox, Simple Minds, Pet Shop Boys, Talk Talk, Erasure, Bryan Ferry, Duran Duran and many others and will be available now!

i am very sorry to inform you that you got a wrong tracklist on your post above.
please also inform the author glen about this.
i will try to explain you the story about the missing DM track:
we started this product with emi germany. they do the online version, we do the cd version.
we had a “wish” tracklist and they went to clear the tracks.
as mute is a part of emi these days we also requested some of the mute material (yazoo, erasure AND dm)
we first released the online version and there the strangelove 12″ mix is included. somehow we got in the middle of a political thing between mute and emi and for the cd version which was released 1 month later, mute denied to give the dm track…
we were very suprised and shocked as this has nothing to do with us, or the product. we had finished all artwork and of course the complete mix and had to redo everything over night.
we made sure that no promo info was given out with the original tracklist and it was never used on any official website or webstore.
for some reason on german amazon site somebody posted a tracklist. this tracklist was not posted by us, neither anybody else involved in this project. unfortunately we could’t remove this comment, although we asked amazon to do that.
of course the real playlist is listed in the playlist section at amazon.
also the german depeche mode site always published the correct tracklisting.
we are BIG TIME mode fans, since we bought our first single at the age of 10 (just can’t get enough)…it was a dream to have them on this beautiful compilation, but it wasn’t meant to be…
we compiled this cd box with big love and enthusiasm. we remastered all original 12″ versions from the original master tapes in londons abbey road studios, we put together an very extensive booklet with all orignal maxi single artworks…we did the mix with big respect to the original versions…
please don’t be angry at us and our label soundcolours. i understand if this cd is not what you expected as one track is missing, but maybe you still will enjoy it.
otherwise, i am sure amazon will take it back.
hopefully for a second volume we don’t get between politcis and may use a song from our heros…maybe even get a chance to remix one of their songs…

I’ve just received the CD and instead of Depeche Mode I have Johnny hates jazz!!!! The tracklisting is the same except for no DM!!!! I know I already have the mix but WTF!!!!

On my copy there is no depeche track included in the megamix. Strangelove is replaced by “Johnny Hates Jazz — I Don’t Want To Be A Hero”. Talk about disappointment! What happened?

Just received my copy which I ordered from amazon.de, and track 3 on CD1 is “I dont want to be a hero” by Johnny hate Jazz.. Apart from that the track listing is identical. Aaaargh….why replace DM……noooooo
