Two additional shows for the European winter leg of Tour Of The Universe was just announced by the local Live Nation offices in Italy. The dates are November 25 in Bologna, and November 26 in Torino. Tickets will go on sale July 1.
Depeche Mode latest single, “Peace”, has hit music outlets all over this precious little globe of ours. There’s a whole bunch of formats, with a myriad of remixes - including my personal favourite: “Peace - SixToes Remix” (yummy!!). Anyway, go buy it in your local record pusher or iTunes.
Unfortunately, Depeche Mode are not able to reschedule 8 of the cancelled shows due to scheduling conflicts. Despite efforts to find a window in which to reschedule these dates, it has proven unfeasible to do so. Read on for the band’s statement to the fans affected.
A plethora of dates are being added to the tour these days, with shows being added on both sides of the Atlantic. Mexico City and Barcelona are getting second dates, and winter dates in Erfurt, Berlin, Prague and Rotterdam have been added.

News dates are popping up all over the place today - this time local promoters have announced yet another date in Mexico - this time at Monterrey Arena in Monterrey on October 6. Tickets are on sale now (link after the jump).
In addition to the recently added Madrid show on November 16, local promoters in France have now announced two three additional french shows in January 2010: Lievin (Stade Couvert Regional) on January 17 and Paris (POP de Bercy) on January 19 and 20.
The 2009 Depeche Mode Convention of the Universe, presented by www.depmod.com, is taking place on June 9th in Berlin - the day before Depeche Mode play at the Olympic Stadium. Appearing at the event will be Nitzer Ebb and De/Vision, along with a host of DJs, including a couple of Homies. Now’s your chance to score some free tickets…
Depeche Mode are pleased to announce they will restart their interrupted Tour Of The Universe in Leipzig, Germany on June 8th. On May 12th, lead singer Dave Gahan suffered a severe bout of gastroenteritis, leading to his hospitalization and the cancellation of the Athens concert. While in hospital, further medical tests revealed a low-grade malignant tumour in Dave’s bladder, which has since been successfully removed. At doctors’ orders Dave Gahan must take a break until June 8th, to ensure that he makes a full recovery. The Leipzig show on June 8th will be the first concert following Dave’s recovery.
