The band announced the dates for the first European leg of their upcoming Tour Of The Universe. The band were in Berlin, and in high spirits, to make the announcement. The tour will start on May 10 in Israel, and will bring the band to North America and South America later in the year. Dates and pictures after the jump:

The band’s upcoming tour has been dubbed “Tour Of The Universe 2009″ according to German ticket outlet Eventim.de. This of course kicks off speculation that the album title will follow a similar naming scheme (like “Master Of The Universe”… GO HE-MAN!)! Anyhoot… date recap:

Norwegian newspaper VG is reporting that Depeche Mode will hit the Norwegian town of Bergen on July 2nd, 2009. The show is set to take place in the fields near the city’s old fortress.

Mirror’s debut album is out there for you to buy, and it features vocals by Mode’s very own, very hunky lead singer, mr. Gahan! The track is called “Nostalgia” (preview) and is available from CD Baby. The album is priced at $9.99 as download.

Some of you may be familiar with Morgan Geist as one half of Metro Area, but he is as well known for his solo work and his remixes. He has a new album out called Double Night Time and the lead single from the record is an amazing song called Detroit featuring Jeremy Greenspan from Junior Boys on vocals and you should really check it out.

Depeche Mode will be at Berlin’s Olympiastadion on October 6th to announce the details for their upcoming 2009 tour. The event will be held in Berlin, and is hosted by the band’s german concert promoter, Marek Lieberberg.
