New Recoil album ready for late Spring/early Summer 2007

Alan has been working on a new Recoil LP for almost a year now, and is getting ready to mix it. For more info, and a video greeting from Alan, do read on!

Since October 2005, Alan Wilder has been in the studio, working on a new Recoil LP. In a video posted on YouTube (link below), Alan explains that the first couple of months were spent re-introducing himself with the studio after a considerable hiatus from the music business. After an update of his studio, work really got under way in January.

Black Strobe: A Remix Collection

Black Strobe’s remix for Depeche Mode’s classic, “Something To Do”, will be featured on a new remix collection coming out in December.

Black Strobe AKA Parisian’s Ivan Smagghe and Arnaud Rebotini will be releasing their ‘Shining Bright Star’ as a one-sided limited 12″ mixed by the mercurial Paul Epworth; Black Strobe have remixed two artists he has produced (Bloc Party, White Rose Movement) and, in turn, Epworth has remixed their current single ‘Shining Bright Star’ and is in place to man the controls for their debut album (due Spring 2007). The 12″ will be released on the 27th November.

Home, in cooperation with Rhino Records, is proud to present our second US Remasters Contest! This week we are giving away Depeche Mode’s 1982 classic A Broken Frame.

Over the next three weeks HOME will be giving you a chance to win copies of the US Remasters courtesy of Rhino Records. This week we are giving away a copy of A Broken Frame followed by Some Great Reward and finishing up with Songs Of Faith And Devotion. You have this whole week to submit your answer to the contest question and at the end of the week we will randomly pick a winner. Client leave Toast Hawaii

Side Line is reporting that Client have left Andy Fletcher’s Toast Hawaii record label. We don’t know what this means for the future of Toast Hawaii, but Client’s Kate Holmes has reportedly confirmed they have left.

Brown Owl dumped and Martyr clip rejected

Lots of last minute changes to the plans, as Depeche Mode remove two different video productions from their upcoming Best Of releases.

The much talked about Brown Owl documentary has been removed from the “Best Of” bundle, and won’t be released at this time. That isn’t to say it won’t ever see the light of day, mind you… there are just nothing solid at the moment.
