After a 6 year break from recording, Alan Wilder returns with Recoil’s 5th studio album. Entitled ’subHuman’, it has been provisionally set for release on July 2nd, 2007.

’subHuman’ will be available on CD and limited edition gatefold vinyl. A special collector’s DVD package will also be issued to include an enhanced stereo CD, a 5.1 Surround Sound version and an exclusive ambient re-working of the entire album. The DVD will also include all the Recoil videos to date.

Depeche Mode have received the IFPI Platinum Europe Award for achieving album sales of more than 1 million copies of for The Best Of Depeche Mode Volume 1.


Artists including Amy Winehouse, Artic Monkeys, Depeche Mode and Take That have received IFPI Platinum Europe Awards for achieving album sales of more than 1m copies.

Placebo has released an iTunes exclusive album featuring their cover of Depeche Mode’s “I Feel You”. “Covers” features a selection of 10 covers from throughout their career.

These covers, which were previously only available on 2003’s “Sleeping With Ghosts” limited edition bonus disc are now available as a digital covers album via iTunes. This release follows the huge digital download demand for their cover of Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill”, after it recently appeared on the hit TV show “The O.C.” Aside from the Depeche Mode cover, this album also features covers of The Smiths, Pixies, and T -Rex just to name a few.
