Some of you may be familiar with Morgan Geist as one half of Metro Area, but he is as well known for his solo work and his remixes. He has a new album out called Double Night Time and the lead single from the record is an amazing song called Detroit featuring Jeremy Greenspan from Junior Boys on vocals and you should really check it out.

This one’s for the synthy-gothy people out there! An excellent track from Swedish outfit Lip Service, and they’ve agreed to give it to you guys for free!! But you gotta hurry, the offer will only be up until the 21st of September!

Depeche Mode will be at Berlin’s Olympiastadion on October 6th to announce the details for their upcoming 2009 tour. The event will be held in Berlin, and is hosted by the band’s german concert promoter, Marek Lieberberg.

Now this isn’t exactly a new song, but the remix appeared earlier this summer. It’s a bootleg, but it’s a really good one! If Oasis normally sounded like this, I might not find them so offensive!

A french radio host, who goes by the name Zegut, posted a very brief, but interesting bit on his personal blog:

Several tipsters (you know, usually people who know someone’s cousin twice removed’s dog’s previous owner’s neighbor from the heartland of Europe) have hinted to us that the big announcement we’re all waiting for will drop on October 6th. German promoter once again let details slip of the upcoming Mode tour. This time in a posting on their official site, where it’s casually mentioned that tickets for Depeche Mode’s mid-2009 tour should go on sale in October 2008. Read on for more…

Anton is once again the responsible party for all things sleeve-ish on the upcoming Mode releases, the tall dutchman confirmed during a recent visit to Italy. Work is already under way, and is inspired by the yet-to-be-released songs. Anton also let slip that he expects to be involved with the design of the stage, but that this is not yet set in stone!
