Erasure’s testing the Best Of concept to breaking point, releasing yet another one of the kind early next year. Penned for a February 23rd release, “Total Pop! The First 40 Hits” repackages the first “Pop!” (from 1992) with all their hits since then, plus an array of news bits and pieces. Also on the cards, a new remix project. On Nov. 3rd, everybody’s favourite label, Mute, released the BBC Radiophonic Workshop - A Retrospective. Now, for those unfamiliar with the BBC workshop, this is was arguably the birthplace of electronic music half a century ago. This retrospective album spans the entire lifetime of the workshop, with classic, extremely rare and previously unavailable sounds and music by the legendary BBC organization.
