Some of you may be familiar with Morgan Geist as one half of Metro Area, but he is as well known for his solo work and his remixes. He has a new album out called Double Night Time and the lead single from the record is an amazing song called Detroit featuring Jeremy Greenspan from Junior Boys on vocals and you should really check it out.

This one’s for the synthy-gothy people out there! An excellent track from Swedish outfit Lip Service, and they’ve agreed to give it to you guys for free!! But you gotta hurry, the offer will only be up until the 21st of September!

Depeche Mode will be at Berlin’s Olympiastadion on October 6th to announce the details for their upcoming 2009 tour. The event will be held in Berlin, and is hosted by the band’s german concert promoter, Marek Lieberberg.

Now this isn’t exactly a new song, but the remix appeared earlier this summer. It’s a bootleg, but it’s a really good one! If Oasis normally sounded like this, I might not find them so offensive!

A french radio host, who goes by the name Zegut, posted a very brief, but interesting bit on his personal blog:

We’re gonna try a new thing out for a while here! To pass the time till the next Mode single drops (March/April of next year) we’ll try and post a “Single Of The Week” type thing. Some times it’s a free download courtesy of the band; some times you will have to cough up some change to get your hands on the goodies!

Several tipsters (you know, usually people who know someone’s cousin twice removed’s dog’s previous owner’s neighbor from the heartland of Europe) have hinted to us that the big announcement we’re all waiting for will drop on October 6th. So that’s 32 days to go, people!! Just 32 days! Let the countdown begin!
