Recording The Universe… so far so good! Volume 2

As we all know by know LiveHereNow and Depeche Mode set out to record and release a lot of shows this tour, and the fruits of that later is now being put under substantial scrutiny by yours truly, to guide you through the ‘musts’ and the ‘donts’. These recordings were originally reviewed more extensively in our forums, but here are a somewhat condensed summary. All these recordings are available from www.depechemodelive.com. Hit the jump for the second batch of reviews, which are NOT spoiler free.

Prague ‘Live Here Now’ status

The recently shipped LiveHereNow release, recorded at Mode’s recent Prague show has the wrong audio on disk two. LiveHereNow asked us to forward the following information regarding the issue.

Recording The Universe… so far so good! Volume 1

When Depeche Mode announced that they would once again be working with LiveHereNow to release live CDs from (virtually) every concert on this tour, I was more than a little pleased. I was salivating… violently. This was, suffice to say, the news I had been hoping for. Well, now the discs are beginning to arrive, and as they do, I’ll be subjecting them to some scrutiny, and report my findings in the form of short reviews. Hit the jump for the first batch of reviews, which are NOT spoiler free.

LiveHereNow – Tel Aviv, May 10 – REVIEW!

With the LiveHereNow release from Tel Aviv now available for download, we thought we’d kick off this series of reviews of Recording The Universe. So was the delayed first installment worth the wait? Well, yes, but it ain’t all good news. Read on for more… but tread carefully – this is NOT spoiler free territory!

Mode set to repeat the LiveHereNow success?

While no official announcement have been made yet, press in as far away apart places as Latvia and Israel are reporting that the band are planning on recording and releasing most (if not all) of the shows on their forthcoming tour. The band premiered this concept on the last half of their 2005/2006 Touring The Angel tour.
