RIP Matt Fretton

We're saddened to hear of the passing of the talented Matt Fretton. If you're not familiar with Matt, he was the support act for Depeche Mode early in the bands career and toured with them on a few tours. Apparently Matt passed on October 29 2013, but we are just now hearing of his passing sadly. He was very kind to us here at Home and even did an interview with us discussing his days touring with Depeche back in 2007. Catching Up with Matt Fretton

It's was really nice to get a note from Matt Fretton letting us know that he is returning to making music! www.mattfretton.com is his new site and it's a blog documenting the recording of his new album. Some of you will remember Matt from his days of touring with Depeche Mode back in '82 and '83, but Matt also had support slots in the early 1980s that included tours and one-off dates with bands like Eurythmics, Gang of Four, Boomtown Rats, Thompson Twins, Billy Idol, and King Crimson.
