The digital single was released last December, but the collectors and vinyl junkies like myself are psyched to get our hands on the actual 12″ single. The first single from the new Motor album is called “Man Made Machine” and it features Depeche Mode’s Martin L. Gore on lead vocal as most of you know. The digital release is available now as an exclusive to Beatport and the fine folks over there gave the release an astounding banner and we thought you should give it a look in case you missed it.

MOTOR wrote the bulk of their forthcoming album while supporting Depeche Mode on the stadium leg of Tour Of The Universe, co-writing one song with Martin Gore, who also provided lead vocal on the track. The product of this venture is premiering TONIGHT on the programme “6 MIX” on BBC Radio 6… show starts at 8pm UK time, and can be streamed online via www.bbc.co.uk.
First came word Martin was featured on the recent Bomb The Bass record; then that he was working on new material with Vince Clarke and appearing alongside Alan Wilder at a Recoil event. Now comes word that Martin is going to be appearing alongside Gary Numan on the upcoming MOTOR record.
We’re slowly, but surely getting in gear for the upcoming Depeche Mode tour, and thought it’d be a good idea to bring some what the other stuff fans out there will be hearing at the shows to your attention. First up is the fantastic Motor, with “Death Rave” – they first single from the forthcoming album, “Metal Machine”. We’re so happy to report that Home faves MOTOR will be supporting Depeche Mode on 20 dates across Europe this coming summer. Motor’s remix of “Precious” was highlighted by Martin Gore as the best remix of a Mode song ever, and their track “Yak” was included in the pre-show music on the last tour. Well this time, instead of one track on a mixtape, we’re getting the real deal!!! The group is by far one of the most interesting and energetic live bands on the electronic music scene these days.
