Alan Wilder unleashes a series of Selected YouTube clips

Alan Wilder will be going viral with his promotion for the upcoming ‘Selected’ live events and album. From March the 3rd, he will be presenting a series of YouTube clips that will lift some of the veil on what is in store on the Recoil front.

Recoil “Selected” gets a release date; disc 2 unveiled

Alan Wilder is set to unleash his latest addition to the Recoil project on April 19th. “Selected” will feature his personal selection of Recoil tracks, as well as b-sides, old and new remixes. Disc two includes a remix by Nitzer Ebb’s Bon Harris and a new version of Strange Hours feature The Black Ships, and many other goodies. Hit the jump for the full press release.

Recoil ‘Selected’ artwork and tracklist!

As most of you probably know by now, Alan Wilder is readying his latest addition to the Recoil project - the album “Selected”. We’re very pleased to be able to reveal the artwork and the tracklist (below). “Selected” consists of tracks handpicked, slightly tweaked and lovingly remastered and by the man himself. It’s an excellent compilation, which will also be made available as a 2CD edition with a selection of rare tracks and brand new remixes.

New Recoil album and tour in the works!

Tonight, Alan Wilder announces that he is on track to release a new album titled “Selected”, and will embark on the first ever tour with the Recoil project to support the album. “Selected” is Alan’s personal best of-Recoil compilation, which will also be released as a double CD package featuring a selection of b-sides and remixes, some of which have never been released before.

Wilder addresses the state of affairs in the music business

Alan Wilder has written an op-ed for the music webzine, SideLine. In the piece, titled “Music For The Masses - I Think Not!”, Alan tackles subjects ranging from the loudness wars, to the impact of downloads on the music (as opposed to the music business), and how difficult it is to actually get something as seemingly straightforward as a CD single released these days. It’s a fascinating read, and should tie you over till we’ve put the finishing touches on our own Recoil feature, which *will* hit the site on Saturday!!

Recoil feature delayed

We had originally planned to run an interview with Alan Wilder today, to celebrate the release of his new CD single. The feature will be a little delayed.

Recoil press release - new CD single!

Alan Wilder is pleased to announce, due to popular demand, a limited
edition CD release of ‘Prey’/’Allelujah’ on 25th February 2008.

Recoil wins Electronic Album of the year at IGN!

Alan Wilder’s Recoil project has been granted the title of Best Electronic Album of 2007 at IGN.com. Now, this comes as somewhat of a surprise… not because the album doesn’t warrant every bit of critical acclaim it can get, but because IGN to me is pretty much synonymous with tits and video games. Oh well… read on for the full review…
