Alan Wilder has decided to perform a virtually free concert immediately following the main sale event in Manchester on Saturday 3rd Sept at Zion Theatre, as a thank you to everyone who is supporting the auction. For the lucky few who are registering to attend the live part of the event, it will possible to stay for this performance as long as the theatre capacity at Zion will hold the numbers. In order to cover PA and projection costs, we are asking an extra £5 only for anyone who wishes to remain at the theatre for Recoil’s performance. Recoil has just completed the most exotic leg yet of the ‘Selected’ tour with some outstanding events across North & South America, including many sold out shows and some real highlights – Martin Gore joining to DJ in Santa Ana, an amazing double bill with Gary Numan in Chicago, Daniel Myer surprising everyone each night with his unique Architect mash-ups, Dave Gahan and Nicole Blackman showing up in New York, Joe Richardson entertaining & educating in Dallas, and Alessandro Cortini mesmerising in Los Angeles. This was all followed by some astonishing crowd reactions as the tour continued its way through Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Colombia (where Massive Attack attended) and finished up in Ecuador.

Alan just emailed us to confirm that Martin is indeedilidoo appearing at the Recoil event in Santa Ana. Al writes: “We are very excited to bring you news of an exclusive one show-only guest DJ appearance at Recoil’s event at Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana, CA on 24th October. A certain Mr Martin L. Gore will be appearing to DJ at an aftershow DM/Recoil party. Martin has graciously agreed to appear just for this event to spin a collection of his favourite tracks. Many will be aware that Martin likes to DJ occasionally and reveal his enthusiasm for electronica.”
