Recoil are heading back to Germany for 2 more much demanded shows! Alan and crew will return to Germany for a show in Berlin at Postbahnhof on Friday November 26th followed by a gig the next night in Dresden at Zeitenstroemung on Saturday November 27th!
Following Recoil’s recent US leg tour announcement, we are excited to tell you about another special date to the tour, this time at The Metro in Chicago on the 26th of October. This unique double bill event will see both Recoil and Gary Numan sharing the stage together! Gary and his band will be performing his classic ‘The Pleasure Principle’ album in full!
In addition to the already announced CD and 2CD sets, Recoil ‘Selected’ will be making it’s way to us in two super deluxe editions: A massive quadruple 4 LP set; and a Limited Edition, Numbered, signed box set including three CDs and one DVD. The box set will be released later than the other formats, but Mute are sending everyone who pre-orders the box a link to download the standard 2 disc version on day of release (April 19th). Alan Wilder will be going viral with his promotion for the upcoming ‘Selected’ live events and album. From March the 3rd, he will be presenting a series of YouTube clips that will lift some of the veil on what is in store on the Recoil front.
Alan Wilder is set to unleash his latest addition to the Recoil project on April 19th. “Selected” will feature his personal selection of Recoil tracks, as well as b-sides, old and new remixes. Disc two includes a remix by Nitzer Ebb’s Bon Harris and a new version of Strange Hours feature The Black Ships, and many other goodies. Hit the jump for the full press release.
