“Fragile Tension/Hole To Feed” tracklist and artwork

On December 7th (in Europe), Depeche Mode will be releasing a special “double A side” single - “Fragile Tension” and “Hole To Feed”. Below are the full track listings for all formats. Further details for US digital release dates are pending. Stay tuned!

Recording The Universe… so far so good! Volume 2

As we all know by know LiveHereNow and Depeche Mode set out to record and release a lot of shows this tour, and the fruits of that later is now being put under substantial scrutiny by yours truly, to guide you through the ‘musts’ and the ‘donts’. These recordings were originally reviewed more extensively in our forums, but here are a somewhat condensed summary. All these recordings are available from www.depechemodelive.com. Hit the jump for the second batch of reviews, which are NOT spoiler free.

Next single gets release date

Germany music site, MusikWoche (www.mediabiz.de), revealed yesterday that the new double-a-side single from “Sounds Of The Universe” will be released in Germany on December 5th December 11th. “Fragile Tension/Hole To Feed” will feature a selection of mixes of both of these tracks, as well as “Perfect” and “Peace”, and will be released as an extended CD Maxi, digital download and 12″.

Found online: Report from Madison Square Garden with video & pics

While browsing the website of ProMotion (the peeps behind all those new “Perfect” remixes we posted about earlier) I stumbled across a blog entry the people over there did from the first show at Madison Square Garden. It includes some photos and a couple of excellent videos, so well worth checking that out. You can jump straight to the Mode entry here, or go to the frontpage of their blog here.

New video to premiere on the eve of Latin American tour start

A mexican newspaper today revealed that the new Depeche Mode video, directed by Eric Wareheim, will premiere today (Friday Sept. 25th) on the band’s official MySpace profile (link). The video is for the track “Hole To Feed”, and it was shot in LA back in August. It’s another band-less video, which has been described as everything from “brilliant” to “horrifying”. Whether or not the video will be followed up by a physical single release remains to be seen. Hit the jump for a truly horrifying video helmed by Eric Wareheim…

Ralphi, Jody and Craig remixes “Perfect”

A US promotional release of “Perfect” has made it’s appearance, including remixes from Ralphi Rosario, Jody den Broeder and Craig J. Snider. The mixes were issued by US club promoter ProMotion. You can check them out on www.promolift.com (click artists, and scroll through the releases until the orange “Perfect” cover appears).

“Fragile Tension” picked for O2 TV ad campaign; then single!

“Fragile Tension” jumped the queue and is being lifted from “Sounds Of The Universe” as the third single. The surprising pick comes in the wake of O2 using the song for a TV ad in Germany.

Peace will come to you on June 15th (give or take a few days)

The second single from “Sounds Of The Universe” will hit stores of both the online and brick’n'mortar kind on June 15th*. The single, which is being released on 7″, CD single and CD maxi, as well as an assortment of digital download bundles will include remixes by Justus Köhncke, MGMT, SixToes, Herve, Jonsi (of Sigur Ros fame) and more. Hit the jump for full tracklisting info.

Future single picks revealed by EMI France

With “Sounds Of The Universe” hitting stores around Europe, french fans got an itsy bitsy teeny tiny exclusive bit of news with their CDs. EMI France plastered the future singles choices all over the CD case (click here to see it). So it now seems confirmed that “Peace” and “Hole To Feed” will join “Wrong” as the single picks for “Sounds Of The Universe”.
