After months of complete radio silence, news are finally trickling through about not just one, but TWO really exciting new Depeche Mode releases. The first release – the hotly anticipated live film from Tour Of The Universe – is dropping in early November; the second – a brand new remix album – is tentatively penned in for early next year. Hit the jump for all the details.
Depeche Mode’s recent tour was committed to the digital equivalent of celluloid back in November of last year, when the band visited Barcelona’s Palau Sant Jordi for two shows. The filming was directed by Russell Thomas, who has helmed shoots for a wide range of big names in music – from U2, Coldplay, Muse to Kylie Minogue, Beyonce and the likes. Russell is well known for making whatever is in front of his lenses look gorgeous, so we’re in for a visual treat. Check out his showreel (no Depeche included) after the jump.
We’re very excited to finally be able to report that Nitzer Ebb will be supporting Depeche Mode on their 2010 dates. Yay!
Soulsavers will be supporting Depeche Mode on the remaining 2009 dates in Europe (with a few exceptions). The Raveonettes are opening on October 4th in Mexico City. Colombian group Angele Phase will open at the show in Bogota. Full list after the jump.
The recently shipped LiveHereNow release, recorded at Mode’s recent Prague show has the wrong audio on disk two. LiveHereNow asked us to forward the following information regarding the issue.
