Exciting announcement?

Depeche Mode have now confirmed that they will be holding a press conference in Paris on October 23rd at 1:30pm. Now that the much discussed Paris Press Conference has officially been confirmed by the band and the Devotees are buzzing about the digital countdown clock etc.... they have gone on to entice us even more, the band will be making a special "Exciting" announcement at the press conference. Something from DM by the end of the year?

In a new interview with Clash Music, Dave Gahan hints at the possibility we might see some new Depeche Mode music by the end of the year. Or did he? The interviewer, Mat Smith, says that Dave said to him that the band hope to have something out by the end of a year, a single perhaps, but doesn't quote Dave directly. Kessler address Tour Rumors

Fan sites were one thing back in the day, but dealing with social networking rumor explosions must be a nightmare for Depeche Mode's management or any bands management for that matter.
