Depeche Mode to headline Lollapalooza?


Depeche Mode are expected to headline the fifth annual Lollapalooza Aug. 7-9 in Grant Park, reports Chicago rock journalist, Greg Kot on his blog. Though promoters would not confirm the information Friday, multiple sources inside the industry said the the band are a lock to headline the festival alongside the Beastie Boys and a reunited Jane’s Addiction.


 

Depeche to extend tour till February


Speaking to Kerrang! Radio, Fletch let slip that the band’s current schedule will be beefed up with about five months worth of extra dates, with the tour ending in February 2010. At the moment the last show announced is in Florida on September 5th. Not to be outdone, Dave went even further on BBC Radio 6, revealing that the band have additional UK dates lined up before Christmas, and even suggested the band might play Glastonbury in 2010.


 

Warm Up show in Luxembourg announced


The band will be playing a special warm up show at Rock Hal in Luxembourg on May 6th. The show precedes the official tour start, which is May 10th in Tel Aviv. The capacity for the show is a mere 6500, and tickets will go on sale starting March 4th.

Planet Sound: More UK dates to come


UK fans will be happy to learn that the single UK date thus far announced for Tour Of The Universe, won’t be the only UK gig on the tour. During the band’s current promo stint, Dave Gahan spoke to Planet Sound, revealing that more dates are indeed in the pipeline – but no UK summer festivals. More after the break…


 

Mode Tour Confirmed… No Dates Yet!


Creative Artists Agency managing partner Rob Light confirmed the news during a touring panel today (July 28) at the 83rd annual IAAM conference and trade show in Anaheim, California, according to Billboard Magazine’s website.
