Martin and Fletch added to Mute festival line-up


We’re very excited about the Mute Short Circuit Festival that takes place at the London Roundhouse between May 13th and 15th 2011. Yesterday afternoon Mute announced a series of new acts including: Richie Hawtin, Martin L Gore (DJ set), Moby (DJ set), Andy Fletcher (DJ set) plus Josh T Pearson playing versions of songs by Mute artists.


 

Depeche Mode remix collection gets announced and dated


On 6 June 2011, Depeche Mode will release Remixes 2: 81-11 on Mute. An inspiring collection of new and classic mixes of material covering their entire career, the album includes remixes of tracks from their 1981 debut Speak And Spell, through to 2009′s Sounds Of The Universe, and is the follow-up to 2004′s million-plus selling Remixes 81-04. These remixes reinforce Depeche Mode’s standing as one of the world’s most influential and innovative acts.


 

Alan Wilder remixes Depeche Mode *updated*


Alan Wilder joins Vince Clarke on the list of people who’ve done remixes for the forthcoming Depeche Mode remix album, tentatively set for release early next year. The two Mode legends’ involvement signal a very interesting project is in the works. Also rumoured to be included in the project are YeasayerThe Yeah Yeah Yeahs!, Brandon Flowers and Arcade Fire. More details should be trickling through in the coming weeks.


 

Vince Clarke remixing Behind The Wheel?


Vince Clarke has mentioned in a Tweet that he has just done some work on a remix for Behind The Wheel. The Tweet simply said, “Did some work on a DM remix (Behind The Wheel).” He seems to pretty open on sharing what he’s working on via Twitter! First letting the cat out of the bag about collaborating with Martin Gore and now a hint on a remix which just fuels the fire on the much speculated remix album for Depeche.


 

Mart & Vince to make a “dancey record”


In an interview with The Quietus, Vince Clarke has shared a little more insight on his collaboration with Martin Gore. Turns out they are working on more then just a track together and there might be, if it all works out, a full album or “dancey record” as Vince described it. Read on to see details!


 

Martin back to work… with Vince Clarke!!


Yes, people, you read that absolutely right. Martin is working on a new project with former band-mate, Vince Clarke. So far very little is known, apart from one a single title: “Zaat”. The former Depeche Mode/Yazoo-man revealed the collaboration via Twitter, saying simply: “Am working on the track ‘Zaat’. Collaborating with Martin (Gore) (from Basildon)”.
