Depeche Mode’s Sounds Of The Universe has been nominated for a Grammy in the Best Alternative Album category while the video for Wrong has been nominated for Best Short Form Music video!
“Wrong” physical formats announced
The three commercial, physical formats for “Wrong”, have been announced on the band’s official site. We’re getting a seven inch, a CD single and a CD maxi, between them holding 4 four remixes including ones by Trentemøller and Stuart Price (Thin White Duke), a b-side and a remix of that b-side. “Wrong” and “Oh Well (Black Light Odyssey Dub)” hits iTunes
Two new Mode tracks available now on iTunes. “Wrong” can be bought outside the UK by following this link. Black Light Odyssey’s Dub of “Oh Well” is available now for fans in the UK, on their local iTunes. The “Oh Well” remix is part of a 20 track strong iTunes version of the album, while fans outside the UK will have to make do with 15 tracks. Tracklists after the jump.
Wrong artwork, radio and release dates
The band’s official site today revealed that “Wrong”, the first single from Depeche Mode’s twelfth studio album “Sounds Of The Universe”, will be released on April 6th, 2009 (April 7th in North America). The world premiere of “Wrong” will be on the Echo Awards television show in Germany on February 21st. The rest of the universe will get to hear “Wrong” on the radio, starting February 23rd.
